| Description- Based on the PowerPhysics proprietary "One Cycle Sound™" control method, the A2-154 is PowerPhysics first half-bridge or single-ended amplifier. Actually, the A2-154 is two amplifier channels on one PCBA (hence A2). Each channel provides 150 Watts of full-bandwidth audio into 4 ohm speakers and 75 Watts into 8 ohm speakers. The A2-154 is also bridgeable to provide 500 Watts into 4 ohm loads. Like all PowerPhysics new designs, this amplifier output is fully protected using fast cycle-by-cycle circuitry against any type of output short or speaker fault to provide robust, long term operation. On board temperature protection with hysteresis keeps the output MOSFET junctions cool. Monitors of output current and temperature are provided for off board analysis in preamplifier limiting circuits, etc. |
